Orkney Business Ring, established in 1994 as a Machinery Ring Co-operative is a not-for-profit organisation owned by members and run by a Board of Volunteer directors.
The Machinery Ring, which still remains the core business, revolves around the supply and demand of goods and services between members. Over the years OBR has progressed to offer a wider range of services to meet market demands, increasing the range of benefits available to members to help sustain and improve business viability.
